I'm Eliot. I file chargeback responses for Shopify brands on PayPal and Airwallex. When email won't close a case, I dial the customer. Evidence packets in before the deadline, every time. US EST hours, full-time, open for new work now.
Most VAs treat disputes like one more thing in the inbox. They're not. They've got processor deadlines, evidence standards, and platform quirks, and an inbox-triage mindset just loses you the money.
Everything from filing to packet upload, for every dispute type that lands.
When email is stuck, I dial.
Subscriptions break their own way. They get their own track.
Catch what's still cancellable before it ships and burns a refund.
One file. Every case I've worked. Reopens in 30 seconds.
Light queue day? I'll run the rest of the inbox too.
Two active dispute desks, plus a few writing and research samples. Client names hidden where they had to be.
The full chargeback queue, day in and out. Item Not Received, Unauthorized Transaction, Duplicate Payment, ACH Return, cancelled-order claims, the lot. When email's not closing the case, I dial the customer. Subscriptions get their own track: customer comes off the processor first, manual refund posts after, so billing and dispute records don't fight each other.
Open the PayPal trackerSheetSame workflow on a different processor, in SEK. Tracking gets reconciled across yuntrack, CJ Packet, 17track, BCMYE, UJ codes, whatever the package came on. Master tracker logs case ID, root cause, evidence link, outcome. Any case I've ever worked, I can pull it up in under a minute.
Open the Airwallex trackerSheetThanks so much for getting in touch! It's Grace from LolaLooks. No worries at all — you're well within your 14-day return window, so we can absolutely sort this out. Pop it back to us with the tags still on, send over the tracking link, and your refund follows once it's checked in.
— Grace, LolaLooksThree sample emails for the kinds of cases that go sideways if you handle them wrong. A pregnancy brand customer upset about a price drop. A return request from someone who already tossed the tags. A subscription charge that turned hostile. Policy holds in each one. Tone stays warm. Customer leaves with a next step.
A five-product SS26 extension for Emiral Couture, a luxury menswear store. I read the store first to find the gaps, then curated five pieces that each fill one — Italian linen camp shirt, suede driving shoe, cashmere travel scarf, pleated linen bermudas, and an unstructured seersucker blazer. Each comes with supplier outreach, sample correspondence, and pricing built to clear a 7× landed-cost multiple. Seventeen slides, costed and sourced.
Open the deckSlidesI fell into disputes work by being the person on the team who didn't mind reading PayPal's terms in full and following the tracking number all the way to the customer's front porch.
Since January 2024 I've been inside PayPal Resolution Center and Airwallex Disputes most days, filing evidence packets in USD and SEK. Twenty-plus cases on a busy day. I've gotten weirdly good at reading postal updates in two languages. When the queue lets up, I write customer-service emails for the trickier cases and do product research for paid-ad pipelines. I'm in Mahayag, Philippines, working US EST hours full-time.
Certified through Your VA Buddy's Shopify e-commerce training (December 2025). Quality-control training before that, with the Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority. And before any of this, I ran admin and patient records at a hospital, which is where the obsession with clean paperwork actually started.
Same workflow every time. Easier to show you than to promise nothing falls through.
Pull the dispute the moment it lands in PayPal or Airwallex. Log it in the master tracker with case ID, customer, amount, reason code, and deadline.
Cross-reference tracking across 17track, yuntrack, CJ Packet, and the carrier site. Pull email history, order notes, and Shopify timeline. Format the packet for the processor.
If email's not moving the case, I call. Walk the customer through their tracking, offer a retention discount if I think they'll take it, refund-and-keep if they won't. Dispute notes get updated either way.
Submit inside the processor deadline. Tracker updated, outcome logged, screenshot saved. Ask me about a case from six months ago and I can pull it up faster than you can finish asking.
Not a long list of "open to learning" things. This is just what's open in my browser tabs right now.
Completed December 2025 with Your VA Buddy. Covers the side of Shopify Admin that disputes work touches every day: orders, fulfillment, refunds, and the back-of-store nobody likes touching.
Tell me the volume, the platforms, and what's bleeding out. I'll reply within 24 hours. We'll set up a call from there.
